Center Street in Southington is decked out in red, white and green flags as the town gets ready for its annual Italian Festival!

Spend the day at Mount Southington for the Annual Winter Carnival this Saturday, Feb. 26! Pucky and Sonar, the masctos from the Connecticut Whale, will be onsite for a drawing to win a 4-pack of hockey tickets and an autographed game hockey puck. Representatives from Alpine Haus will also be here with ski equipment giveaways. The highlight of the day will be the Cardboard Box Race at 3:30 p.m. Decorated boxes sail down the hill with all participants in costumes with the help of a face painter.
