Shakespeare to be shown at library

William Shakespeare loved to laugh. One need look no further than to explore his gift for dramatic humor in his great comedic plays. Spend a Summer afternoon with Shakespeare at the Southington Library, 255 Main St. The next free showing is "A Midsummer Night's Dream" Friday, July 18, at 1:30 p.m., in the lower level program room. No registration needed.

'Pig out on reading' with Daisy

The Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington in conjunction with the Southington Library will be hosting Pig Out on Reading with Farmer (Paul) Minor and Daisy, the famous potbelly pig on Tuesday, May 13, 10 a.m., at the Southington Library in celebration of 2008 Children's Book Week. The public is welcome to listen to stories and meet Daisy.
