Maintenance on I-84 Eastbound Aug. 23-27
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound) from Exit 31 to 34 in Southington/Plainville. This project is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 23, 2010 and continue through Friday, August 27, 2010.
Plainville man charged in downtown Plantsville crash
Southington police charged a Plainville man after he was involved in a crash Tuesday night in the center of Plantsville. The intersection of West Main, South Main and Main streets was closed for four hours, reopening shortly after midnight.
Senator announces new 'three strikes' coalition
State Sen. Sam S.F. Caligiuri announced he has formed the Three Strikes Now Coalition, a not-for-profit, non-partisan grass roots organization dedicated to the enactment of a "three strikes and you're out" law in Connecticut. The coalition's Web site is www.threestrikesnow.com.
