Camp Sloper to be teenagers' haven on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, YMCA Camp Sloper will offer a free drop-in program for Southington middle school and high school teens. Members and non-members are welcome to sign up for the day that begins right after school and runs until 6 p.m. Transportation will be provided from the two middle schools and the high school; parents must pick up their teen by 6 p.m.

Seeing life through the eyes of middle school girls

One hundred years from now, people will be able to step back into the lives of Southing¬ton teenagers in 2008. This will be possible, not with a time machine, but through brows¬ing the pages of a scrapbook created by middle school girls that will be kept for posterity by the Southington Historical Society.
