Robert A. Conway

Robert A. Conway, 59, of Southington, died suddenly Tuesday, April 1, 2008. He was the husband of Susan (Stepensky) Conway.

Born in Seoul, Korea, April 13, 1948, the son of the late Edward and Eleanor (Darling) Conway. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and had received the Purple Heart. He had been employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 37 years. He was a member of the Waterbury Elks Club and the Purple Heart Association.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Dana Conway, of Waterbury; a sister, Patricia Katan, of Bristol; three brothers, Edward Conway and his wife, Maureen, of Middlebury; James Conway and his wife, Donna, of Danbury; and Joseph Conway and his wife, Fran, of Waterbury; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Services were held April 4 from DellaVecchia Funeral Home, Southington, to St. Dominic Church, Southington. Burial, with full military honors, was in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
