Edward S. Salvatore

Edward S. Salvatore, 90, of South Main Street in Plantsville, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Plainville Health Care. He was the husband of Mary (Lorenzo) Salvatore.

Born Aug. 22, 1917 in Southington, a son of the late Sisto and Sally (Petryski) Salvatore. He had worked at the former Peck Stow & Wilcox and retired in 1984 from Pratt & Whitney in Southington. Mr. Salvatore graduated from Wilcox Tech.

Besides his wife, he is survived by nine children, Ronald Salvatore and his wife, Joanne, of Southington, Susan Emond and her fiancé, Philip Girardin, of Bristol, David Salvatore and his wife, Sheryl, of Southington, William Salvatore and his partner, Dave Gallup, of Bristol, Carol Richard, of Berlin, Dennis Salvatore, of Middletown, Gary Salvatore and his wife, Vanna, of Southington, Edward T. Salvatore, of Plantsville, and Christine Simone and her husband, Gary, of Southington; a brother, Alphonse Salvatore, of Southington; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 5 from DellaVecchia Funeral Home, Southington, St. Thomas Church. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
