FEMA opened offices in a number of spots in Connecticut on Thursday for homeowners and busineses suffering losses from Tropical Storm Irene.

The nearest one is at Tunxis Community College, 271 Scott Swamp Rd, Farmington.  This location is the southeast corner of CT Route 177 (North Washington Street Plainville) and CT Route 6 (Farmington-Bristol).
There is a lot of parking.  The offices will be open Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

People are encouraged to visit and register with FEMA even if they have already given their info to towns and other service agencies.
