Police say a local man was arrested On Saturday for stealing a taxi five hours after he was released from Hartford Correctional Facility.

Police arrested Matthew Findley, 25, of 12 Beecher St. and charged him with Use of MV without permission, fourth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trover.

Police say Findley was observed stealing a Taxi at a local gas station shortly before his arrest at 9:40 p.m. He had been previously been riding in that same taxi.

He had just been released from prison at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Findley was scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Aug. 30.
