Due to oppressive heat, Southington kindergarten through eighth grade will have early dismissal Tuesday, June 10. Southington High School will have a normal school day. Early elementary schools, Flanders, Hatton, Plantsville, South End and Thalberg, will dismiss at 1:10 p.m.; late elementary schools, Derynoski, Kelley and Strong, will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. There will be no afternoon preschool or kindergarten. Outdoor activities will be cancelled; however, indoor evening activities will be held as scheduled.
