Memorial Day observances

The American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 of Southington is presenting the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 31.

American Legion members will conduct services at: Panthorn Park, 7:30 a.m.; Wonx Spring, 7:45 a.m.; Quinnipiac, 8 a.m.; Recreation Park, 8:20 a.m.; South End Cemetery, 8:30 a.m.; Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 8:35 a.m. The Southington Marine Corps League will conduct services at: Memorial Park, 7:30 a.m.; Oak Hill Cemetery, 7:45 a.m.; Holy Trinity, 8:05 a.m.; West Street Cemetery, 8:15 a.m.; St. Thomas Cemetery, 8:35 a.m.

Members interested in participating are asked to meet at the Post Home at 6:30 a.m.

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. from Derynoski Elementary School, Eden Avenue. Legion members interested in marching in the parade are asked to meet at 10 a.m. in the school parking lot on Eden Avenue. Step-off time is 10:30 a.m. Dress uniforms are required.
