Meriden, Plantsville men arrested in connection with home invasion

A Plantsville and a Meriden man were arrested on home invasion and weapons charges after they were caught during a home invasion on Jackson Hill Road last night, state police said.
Shane Leverette, 42, of 156 Grove St., Meriden, and Randy Cochran, 31, of 6 Lynn Ave., Plantsville, are being held on $500,000 bond.
State troopers say they interrupted the pair as they were commiting a home invasion at 361 Jackson Hill Road late last night. At least one the victims was taken to Middlesex Hospital were he was treated and released after sustaining injuries during the incident.
Leverette and Cochran are facing multiple charges including first-degree home invasion, first-degree burglary and several weapons charges.
Police said the home invasion was not random and the pair had met the victims through mutual friends.
