Missing man found in Plantsville

A Manchester man, visiting his mother in Southington on a weekend release from Bidwell Care Center has been found.
George Lukasik, 39, was reported missing at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday after leaving his mother's home on Whitlock Avenue at about 2:30 p.m.
He was found today at about 1:45 p.m., police said, walking south on Route 10 near Todd Road. He was found by a Southington CERT team member and a member of the CT Search and Rescue team about one-quarter mile from the Co. 3 firehouse, where a command center had be established to help find him.
Lukasik told officials he had decided to go camping.
He was transported to the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial for evaluation and/or treatment police said.
