The newest segment of Rails-to-Trails, which extends from downtown Plantsville to the Cheshire town line, opened this morning with a ribbon-cutting and history tour. Walkers, bicyclists and town officials were present. The trail in Southington now stretches more than 4 miles. It is hoped that with the completion of a few segments the trails will go from Massachusetts to New Haven. See the photo gallery on this site.
