A milling and resurfacing project is being performed on Interstate-84 Eastbound in Southington and Plainville between Exit 32 and Exit 34 and on Route 10 ramps, the state Department of Transportation announced May 14. This project is expected to begin Sunday, May 16 and continue to Thursday, June 10. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday to Thursday evenings. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
