The second annual Willie Bob Texas Charity Golf Tournament  is being held in memory of Willie "Bobby" Wade, of Southington, an avid golfer, who died of cancer in 2007. Proceeds benefit the George Bray Cancer Center of the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, noon, at Hawk's Landing country Club in Southington. the event will include a four-person scramble, dinner and awards reception following the golf with prizes and awards. Cost is $125 per person or $450 per foursome.

We will be having a silent auction this year as well as a raffle the day of the tournament.  Silent auction items include a certified autographed picture from the Superbowl Champion Brandon Jacobs of the NY Giants, a 2007 autographed UConn Women's basketball, UConn apparel and other items.  We also have some exciting items for the raffle.  Raffle tickets will be $2/ea or 3 for $5. 

People are also welcome to come to the dinner only. Cost is $40.
