Tag Sale
I would like to thank all the wonderful people that stopped by our Tag Sale last week. We are trying to help my son and his family (my adorable 2 year old grandson, his mother and their dog) get back to CT in Sept for a brief visit with us before they go on to Arizona. They are living in a tent in CA and it is cold and rainy. Casey (the girlfriend) is working, and my son (Joel) finds odd jobs when he is lucky. But they have had a very bad string of luck, (bought 3 vehicles which broke down, and spent a lot of money to try to repair)(they also bought a vehicle when they reached CA, only to discover it is on it's last legs and they are afraid to drive it)- and they have no way to get back out here. We have not seen them since they left last October. I cannot tell you what it meant to us to have people stop and inquire about the kids- some even stopped just to give a donation. It has truly restored my faith in humanity. One woman and her daughter even prayed with us. We are having another tag sale this Saturday (7/25)- weather willing. Thank you everyone again for your kindness. It will not soon be forgotten. Karen Satagaj (53 Old Turnpike Rd)
